Le Sapin de Noël

Monsieur Titi went out yesterday and hunted us a Christmas tree. He only caught one of them, the littlest and scrawniest of the bunch. But then all Christmas trees deserve a little love.
I decorated it as best I could. But I couldn't put lights on it because they are too heavy and I didn't want the poor thing to fall over.

Trying to make it stand up straight

Naked and shivering

Oh, so much more beautiful

This is not its best side!

How nice of you to adopt that little tree. I'm sure if he(the tree) had feelings, he would feel so beautiful right now. Or maybe it's a girl tree! Sometimes it's hard to tell. I never know where to look.
Merry Christmas.
Your Friend, m.

A good reminder to shop early, or grow your own! We didn't do a tree at all this year, just branches trimmed from the undergrowth of pines and cedar, scattered here and there in every room. No decorations, either. The smell of that tree will take over the room and it will be the glorious smell of Christmas.

Merry Christmas.

Morning smiles on this icy day, "...hunted and caught one." The theme from "Charlie Brown's Christmas" is in my pre-caffeinated brain now. Sweet post - Merry Christmas to you guys!

Wonderful! Every tree deserves a little love and it's the spirit of Christmas that counts, not the size of the tree. Sorry, years of watching Charlie Brown have trained me well. I hope you all are having a good Christmas season so far!

That is not a tree--it's a branch! Still, as noted above, it's the spirit that counts.

I have a "live" (potted) Christmas

oh my. Charlie Brown Christmas.
My father used to do that- go out the day before Christmas and get one of the last ones in the lot and say "Poor little tree. If he doesn't get chosen to be a Christmas tree, all his dreams will have been for nothing."
