My dear friend, Beth, and her man-friend were here over a long weekend. It's been 7 years since she's been in France and the last time we saw each other. It was so great to see her, and spend time with her. I can't even write down how much fun it was.
Now that she's gone, I've got "les bleus" or the blues. I hadn't realized how much I miss having really good women friends. In the past 4 months, I lost one of my best friends here to a move to Normandy. I saw one good friend in October and now Beth. But these friends are few and far between.
I don't have any pictures to show you of what we did last weekend. I'll wait for her to send me the ones that she took. We went to visit Chinon which is farther west in the Loire Valley and well known for its excellent wine. We had lots of laughs and silliness.
Here's a picture from Google.
Now I'm back to real life.

bonjour
j'ai appris que tu avais des pucerons dans les roses
La recette à Bergson : 30-40 mégots dans une bouteille d'eau laisser 24/48 h .filtrer et pulvériser.
adieu les pucerons
pas de mégots prendre du tabac le moins cher
My daughter and her wife are in Paris this week. Abercrombie and Fitch is opening a store on the Champs-Elysees, so Anne is sight-seeing while Amy works. I tried to convince them that having me along would really enliven the trip, but they thought I'd be more useful babysitting the kids. Sigh.
Chinon looks fascinating.
My very special friend lives in S.Africa and I so miss her and her husband. We do chat on Skype with a camera but somehow it is not the same :-( Diane
aww yeah skype is manageable, but even with people in the same country it freezes a lot and drops, and is worse with international video calls.
Im about to be one of those friends that moves
I remember Chinon well from when I lived in Indre et Loire. I didn't even realize you were back to blogging after your hibernation...and here it is mid-May! Shame on me! I even was doing NaBloPoMo for the 1st half of May, but dropped out and lost momentum...somehow you posts never came across my blog list at the right time. Anyway, it sounds like your spring is lovely and I'm glad to see you blogging again. I am having a lot of time finding a purpose for it these days...I think with working full time, I'm just too busy. Take care!
I am so sorry you miss your friend.
Maybe you and Monsieur Titi need to take a long vacation in the US. I am not sure at all that I could live in France anymore. You are probably homesick.
Thank you, Your writing has helped me,,
i like this blog,,

How I love Chinon - it's a great place to be with special friends - there's nothing like a nice day out and a good gossip and giggle.
(word verification is noncensi - sounds like you had a lot of that !!)
I know what you mean about missing your women friends. Most of mine are far away across the country and we talk only by phone or e-mail, and even that isn't too often.
always good to see a good friend back ! Hope you feel better soon and maybe you can concentrate on a countdown to a next visit !?
That was great for your friend's visit and a trip to Chinon(I LOVED that; I went last year)
Have you considered maybe going to visit her one day to change?
