Paint, Dinner and an Unknown Plant

The house is painted! The painters are gone taking with them their noise and smell of paint. Finally, we can close the shutters at night without worrying if the paint's dry.

The wood and shutters look so nice and so new now. Here are some pictures:
Old color on left, new color on right

What a mess!

What else??? Hmmmmm... Oh yes, my 2 group English classes had a year-end dinner at a local restaurant. We were 20 and had a nice evening chatting. For associations or even companies, it's very common to have a dinner amongst employees/students/members before everyone goes off on summer holidays.

Here's a group picture:

I received a couple of books and this beautiful plant as gifts from the students. But the woman who bought the plant couldn't remember the name. Does anyone recognize the type of plant???

Bonjour Dedene.

I cannot get over how beautiful your home is!! I love the new color, it does 'liven' it up a bit. Looks like it was a great turnout for your dinner!

Ta maison est magnifique! Un bleu français gentil. Très bien.

Sorry, I don't have a clue about the flower. Delightful gift, as long as it doesn't eat you (as in The Little Shop of Horrors.

Thanks all for the nice comments about our house.
Claude, thanks so much! Merci beaucoup !
After having read the description and care of the Medinilla plant, I doubt if I'll be able to keep it alive. Sounds very tough.
